Wayne HiottJ. Wayne Hiott earned his BS in Finance from Auburn University. After graduation, Wayne started his professional career as a management trainee at United Federal Savings & Loan, where his duties and responsibilities included construction and permanent lending as well as weekly interaction with joint venture partners of the institution. While working for United Federal Savings & Loan, he gained his initial exposure to real estate acquisition and improvement which would prove to be a great training ground for future ventures. After gaining experience, Wayne became a full time mortgage originator, developing relationships with real estate agents to procure mortgage clients. Working in both of these areas provided a clear view of the business from both the seller and buyer’s perspective, something that benefits Wayne and his clients today.

Following his time in the mortgage banking industry, Wayne moved into real estate brokerage, starting his real estate career as a tenant representative for commercial clients. Eventually, Wayne began working in the investment sales of retail and office properties, a facet of the real estate business that requires both analytical and creative skills to position properties for the eventual resale.

Wayne completed his MBA from Kennesaw State University and spent the next decade in marketing and sales roles for various technology companies. His passion for building and renovation pulled him back into the industry in 2008. (Since then, he has bought and resold properties, many of which required significant renovations, including the replacement of entire systems from roof to basement.) He has also built homes ranging from starter to move-up in numerous intown Atlanta neighborhoods. Years of experience and a keen eye for design contribute to Wayne’s expert ability to build homes that bend seamlessly with the neighborhoods around them.

Wayne resides in metro Atlanta with his wife Chris. Wayne enjoys outdoor activities in his spare time, including motorcycle riding, physical fitness and golf. His passion for philanthropy is an important aspect of his life and business model. Most notably, Wayne supports Project82 Kenya, a program that supports, houses and feeds orphans in Kenya.
